Keagungan Rumi

Maulana Rumi (1207-1273) adalah seorang maha guru spiritual dan puisi mistik untuk semua zaman. Rumi berdiri di atas puncak gunung dan melihat eksistensi manusia. Rumi menggabungkan ajaran agama, sufisme dan puisi. Pada pendahuluan karya al- Matsnawinya, bahwa karyanya ini hanyalah tafsir puitis dari makna dan pesan al-Qur'an. Dalam terminologi sufi, Rumi sudah sampai pada derajat al- insan al- kamil, manusia paripurna. Sehingga Rumi, dipandang sedang mendendangkan lagu cinta dengan sempurna, bergairah dan sangat bersahabat... (who has sung the most beautiful and profound songs of love, comppasion and companionship). Rumi adalah seorang mursyid yang membimbing manusia menapaki jalan spiritual. Bagi pengagumnya, Rumi laksana matahari yang menyinari taman dan bumi. Namun, setiap orang dapat mengambil bagiannya dari air laut sesuai dengan takaran cangkirnya. Artinya dalam kehidupan ini, hal baik dan buruk akan silih berganti. Keberuntungan dan kemalangan juga akan datang silih berganti.
